Axen Apparel ad

When storyboarding, I wanted to display how a UO exotic material would look and feel. Ran different concepts such as particles and liquids but settled on a look that resembled the surface of a meteor.

One of my first renders was like a city 'game of throne intro' coming up from the ground. Wanted this scene to kind of resemble that knowing what I know now with Cinema 4D and displacement maps.

This was a model I bought off CG trader but made changes to the arm to meet the look and feel I was going for. Basically the white part and the nose are whats left of the original. This was heavily influenced by @raoul_marks work on West World

The main idea I had for the ad was to display what it would look like for future tech synthesize materials into clothing. Having watched many MANY alien films as well as 'how they make it' youtube vids, I tried to mary the 2 into what you see before you.

Always loved how they do transitions like this in ads. Took a lot of time figuring out what and how to do this type of transition.

I looked up a whole bunch of tutorials on how to get a weaving effect and took me ages
parenting the end of the weave to the nose to TY-GHT.

To be honest, this scene was the hardest to pull off. I tunnel-visioned this exact look of the material materializing from the concepts I drew up.

This project tested me in so many ways. So happy I got what was in my head out in motion. Have some insanely exciting news to share in a short time, just need to kink out the details but its a BIG one.
